A nod to the craft of roasting coffee as well as the forest preserves surrounding our area. Controlled Burn Blend is a carefully chosen mix of coffees with main notes of chocolate, berry & caramel. We like it as a drip coffee, but it works really well as espresso.

One of my favorite local coffee places! I go there to study most of the time or to drink a cup of coffee with my friends. The staff are super sweet and friendly! The coffee looks and tastes good. Their smoothie bowls and avocado toast are super delicious as well! Highly recommend this place for anyone who likes to study in quiet place or enjoy a cup of coffee with their friend!
The abbacado toast & vanilla lattes are my favorites. Honestly Haven’t had a better avocado toast anywhere else. Staff is always friendly and attentive. Definitely the best coffee shop in the area
great place to sit and meet with a friend, or get some work done. staff is always super friendly. i recommend the smoothie bowls, they're actually pretty filling and the drinks are always well made.
A great place to sit and read or hang out with friends. The staff works hard and are friendly. We usually come up here and play cards or read books. The coffee is good, but we don't go for that too often. In the summer we get the acai bowls 🥣 (lemon poppyseed was the champion) or smoothies (Wiz Kha-leaf-a). When it's cold 🥶 out we grab the Witch's Brew and Matcha. Everything is made to order with extra care and attention to detail! Staff does excellent work!
Stopped in for a Latte and was pleasantly surprised at the decor inside. Kind of felt like I was on the set of the Friends show. Coffee was excellent, service great and prices are competitive. Staff are very knowledgeable about the items on their menu, polite and professional. I highly recommend Strange Brew for your coffee fix. They also have smoothies and more. Just need one in Oak Forest.
This place is so cool! Great for all ages to do school work, study, read a book, or just a place for kids and adults to get together. Give it a try! You won't be disappointed. I love eveything on their menu too. They have creative names for all their food and drinks. I'd love for them to add a warm oatmeal bowl with all the toppings. A smoothie bowl but instead of a smoothie use oatmeal. Yummy! All of it.
really good coffee/smoothies and a nice atmosphere. the staff was super friendly and everything came out quickly. i got a drink on a recommendation and it did not disappoint. definitely a great spot to hang out, get some work done, or just grab a coffee. i’ll definitely be back ❤️ (try their toast too)
Delicious and unique. They have a variety of cold foams. I had a latte with lavender vanilla cold foam, and it was exceptional! It had a lot of flavor without being too sweet. I brought my toddler here, and I was able to order her an iced milk with maple syrup and cinnamon cold foam, and she loved it!
I stopped into Strange Brew Café while looking for a local coffee shop before heading back home to Indiana, and I’m so glad I did! The atmosphere is cozy, eclectic, and has a fun, mystical vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. It also felt incredibly welcoming; while we were there, people from all walks of life came through the doors, and it was obvious this is a place where everyone is comfortable and accepted. The coffee was excellent. I ordered the Wildflower iced latte, and the flavor was absolutely on point. To top it off, I accidentally claimed someone else’s coffee while waiting. I tried to pay ( as I felt terrible), but the staff couldn’t have been kinder. They simply smiled and said it happens sometimes—it’s just part of running a coffee shop. Great coffee, amazing customer service, and an atmosphere that feels genuinely inviting. 10/10 would recommend, and I’ll definitely stop back the next time I’m in the area!
What a nice atmosphere to enjoy our delicious mochas, made to our liking with perfection. The baristas were super welcoming, too. Last, the restrooms were neat and clean. We highly recommend and will return. During nice weather, there is a cute patio outside in the back.
